IPPO DARO MedSpa is thrilled to offer our clients one of the hottest new trends in Korea: BB Glow. Now, you too can have that coveted Korean “glass” skin that is crystal-clear and poreless in appearance with a glass-like sheen.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to roll out of bed and be greeted with flawless skin when you look in the mirror? Now you can. With the Korean BB Glow treatment, your skin can look smooth and radiant without wearing foundation.
We all struggle with uneven skin tone. It seems like an endless battle against aging, hormones, UV rays, and stress, which all impact the vibrancy of our skin. As much as we don’t like to wear makeup, we’d feel worse being in public without covering our flaws and blemishes.
What Is The Korean BB Glow Treatment?
BB Glow is one of the latest anti-aging beauty innovations from South Korea. It’s a semi-permanent foundation for your face. It uses scientifically proven nano needling technology to safely infuse nutrient-rich tinted BB cream into the top layer of your skin. This treatment will provide light to medium coverage to camouflage all your facial imperfections – including hyperpigmentation, redness, dark circles and large pores. Everyone will think that you naturally have perfect skin and BB Glow can be your little secret.
What Are The Benefits Of The BB Glow Treatment?
BB Glow will instantly and perfectly even out all your blemishes and discolorations. It’s a perfect way to have amazing skin for special events like your wedding or birthday.
BB Glow is not only great at covering up your facial skin flaws, it will also hydrate your skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of under-eye dark circles, and reduce blackheads and clogged pores.
BB Glow is also great for people with rosacea, to help cover up redness and broken capillaries.
BB Glow does not rub or wash off. So, you can sweat, shower and swim all you want. At the end of the day, you will still have that amazing glowing and flawless skin.
BB Glow is also good for your skin. The BB cream that’s infused into your skin contains many anti-aging ingredients, vitamins and antioxidants that will keep your skin healthy and youthful.
BB Glow will not clog your pores and cause breakouts as the pigment is inside your skin versus sitting on top of your pores.
BB Glow is great for those who, despite having tried all the latest anti-aging technologies, still are not able to remove stubborn spots. Now, BB Glow can safely camouflage imperfections and provide flawless skin.

BB GLOW STEPS
Cleansing – A cleanser is chosen based on skin type and applied to the face, neck and decollete to remove any surface oils or debris.
Exfoliation – Exfoliating Gel is used to gently clean your pores and remove dead skin cells, which significantly improves your skin texture and color and aids in the absorption of active ingredients.
Neutralization – White Neutralizing Foam is applied, left on for few minutes and removed to restore the skin’s pH balance, reduce redness, moisturize and improve skin tone.
Carboxy Gel Therapy – Unlike most other offices, we add on Carboxy Therapy before BB Glow to prepare the skin and optimize the results. (This step will be discussed further below.)

BB Glow Serum (serum with foundation) – The BB Serum shade that best matches your skin tone is infused into the skin with the nano needles and left on for 15 minutes.
Mask – A fabric mask is placed over the BB Serum to keep it from drying out and to provide extra hydration and soothe the skin.
LED Light Therapy – LED light therapy is also performed for 15 minutes with the mask on the skin to enhance the results. (This will also be discussed more later.)
Product removal – The mask and the product is removed after 15min.

What Is The Skin Science Behind BB Glow?
How Is BB Glow Nano Needling Different From The Traditional Medical Microneedling?
Nano needling works a little differently than the medical microneedling. It uses the same type of oscillating motion to treat the skin, but the cartridge encompasses 81 silicone tips. These microscopic hair-like cones separate the cells within the epidermis to allow active products to be pushed into the skin. Nano needling only affects the epidermis treating the upper 0.15mm of the skin.
The benefits of this serum infusion treatment include pigmentation reduction, increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation and an immediate glow with no downtime.
BB Glow – cosmetic procedure
Treats upper layers of epidermis
Transdermal delivery system
Nano channels for increased effectiveness of serums
Microscopic silicone needles 1/3 thickness of hair
Needle depth 0.25mm
No downtime
No pain, no numbing required before treatment
What Types Of Needles Are Available For Nano Microneedling?
Nano needles are very small (0.15mm in length and the thickness of hair). They create nano channels for transdermal delivery of active ingredients and are used to treat the upper layers of epidermis. We only use nano needles for BB Glow. We don’t deliver the pigment into deeper layers of the skin as BB serum contains titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxides are meant to provide sun protection and should not be delivered into the dermis to avoid skin discoloration and irritation.
During the BB Glow treatment, the slowest mode on the pen is used to minimize discomfort.
What Is CARBOXY GEL THERAPY?
Carboxy Gel Therapy is a new anti-aging skin correcting technology. This breakthrough therapy generates activating bubbles that contain a proprietary formula to stimulate skin to restore beauty, energy and health. Carboxy Gel Therapy delivers these amazing results in a 60minute non-invasive treatment that works on all skin types and is pain-free. Activating bubbles are absorbed into the skin without injection to increase oxygen and the skin’s ability to assimilate necessary nutrients and eliminate destructive toxins.
How Does Carboxy Gel Therapy Work?
Non-injection (non-invasive) carboxy therapy is a technique for saturating the skin with carbon dioxide. The molecules of carbon dioxide gas are very small. As they penetrate the skin, oxygen starvation occurs. The skin is forced to produce more oxygen by increasing blood circulation, flushing the lymphatic system, and stimulating cellular metabolism and collagen production. After the procedure, clients can see instant results. The skin looks plump, hydrated fresh and bright. It improves elasticity of the skin, reduces wrinkles and increases hydration.
What Are The Benefits Of Carboxy Gel Therapy?
The benefits of carbon dioxide to the skin have been well documented over many years in numerous studies, as well as personal testimonials describing its remarkable anti-aging and corrective properties. This treatment provides a new level of skin care perfection. Carboxy treatments are especially effective as an add-on to any facial.
Skin lightening – Carboxy activates blood circulation, which discharges toxins and has a great impact on whitening facial skin. It not only treats hyperpigmentation, but also enhances overall skin tone.
Elasticity – Carboxy CO2 Gel promotes active protein synthesis and metabolism of skin cells. It enhances elasticity and prevents wrinkles.
Acne care- It effectively addresses acne problems by activating fat metabolism and blood circulation, balancing oil production, discharging skin toxins and reducing inflammation. It also lightens post-acne marks.
Slimming and firming – Phospholipids are a primary component of the skin layers. By increasing the layer density, the use of carboxy treatments creates a slimming and firming effect. It also reduces the subcutaneous layer, which usually appears as under-eye bags or lumps on the face.
Moisturizing – Supplying moisture to the skin is critical. Furthermore, keeping the moisture within the keratin layers of the skin is important to maintain elasticity.
How Is The Carboxy Gel Therapy Performed?
First, the Carboxy gel is applied and covered with an activating mask. As soon as the mask is pressed into the gel, carbon dioxide gas is released. You will feel a tingling sensation. The mask is pressed gently for 5-10 minutes. Lymphatic drainage massage will also be performed to remove all the toxins. Your face will be then be wrapped with a dry towel for an extra 20min. The product will then be removed.
Does Carboxy Gel Therapy Have Downtime?
Carboxy gel treatments do not have any downtime.
Is Carboxy Gel Therapy Safe?
Carboxy gel treatments are safe for clients, and skin will not get red or irritated. There are no known risks associated with carboxy therapy.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
You can see results from just one treatment and can do it right before important events. However, the results of the Carboxy Gel Therapy is cummulative. So we recommend a series to see greater results. At Ippodaro MedSpa, we use Carboxy Gel therapy before each BB Glow treatment to enhance the results.
